For SBI PO 2027 you will upload a photo (200 x 230 px, 20–50 KB), a signature (140 x 60 px, 10–20 KB), a left thumb impression (240 x 240 px, 20–50 KB) and a handwritten declaration (800 x 400 px, 50–100 KB). The notification is expected around June 2027, since the 2026 registration was reported to open on 18 June 2026 and close on 8 July.

SBI PO is the State Bank of India's own recruitment for Probationary Officers. It is separate from IBPS PO, with its own form, fee and exams: prelims, mains, and a final phase of psychometric test, group exercise and interview.

The sizes below are what prep sites list for the 2026 form. They match the IBPS format, which SBI has followed for years. Confirm them in the 2027 notice on SBI's careers page.

Prep sites quoting the SBI notice say the application is not registered unless all four are uploaded as specified, so do not skip any of them.

How to prepare each file

Because SBI uses the IBPS format, the IBPS tools give the right sizes.

Photo. Use the IBPS photo resizer on a recent passport-style photo with a light background.

Signature. Sign on white paper with a black pen and fit it with the IBPS signature resizer.

Thumb impression. Make a clear left thumb impression on white paper and size it with the IBPS thumb impression resizer. If the file is over the limit, use compress image to 50 KB.

Declaration. Copy the declaration from the notice by hand on white paper. Photograph it straight on, crop to about 800 x 400 pixels, and bring it to 50–100 KB with compress image to 100 KB. Read the result on your phone: if you cannot read it easily, the checker cannot either.

Applying from a phone

All four images can be made with a phone camera in daylight. Take the photo with the rear camera against a light wall, and photograph the signature, thumb and declaration sheets flat on a table. Name each final file clearly so you do not upload the thumb in the signature slot.

Common reasons uploads get rejected

A declaration in capital letters, typed, or missing words from the given text.
A thumb impression that is a dark blob or too faint to show ridges.
Files compressed below the minimum size.
A photo with a cap or dark glasses, or one that is not recent.
Simply shrinking the file without fixing the dimensions. Prep sites warn that SBI checks both.

Keep this set of files. With a fresh photo, it also works for IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk in the same year.
