Compress images

Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP files by quality or to an exact size in KB. Batch compress many images at once.

Large photos slow down websites, bounce off email size limits and get rejected by upload forms. This compressor re-encodes your image at a lower quality, which usually cuts the file size by 50–90% with no visible difference.

Switch to Target size to hit an exact limit such as 100 KB. The tool searches for the highest quality that fits, and only reduces the dimensions if it has to.

How to use it

  1. Choose your image or drop it on the box (you can also paste from the clipboard).
  2. Adjust the settings if you need to. The tool compresses them straight away.
  3. Check the new size, then press Download.

Questions

Will compression reduce the quality?

JPG and WebP compression is lossy, but at 60–80% quality the difference is almost impossible to see. PNG files are compressed by reducing the number of colours, like TinyPNG.

How many images can I compress at once?

As many as your device can handle. Choose them all together and download them as a single ZIP.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so your files never leave your device. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.

Is it free?

Yes, free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
