Other documents: Sources conflict: guides give photo 20–50 KB, 10–50 KB or up to 500 KB, and signature 10–20 KB, 10–30 KB or up to 100 KB. The preset uses sizes that fit all of them. Category, PwD and domicile certificates as PDF (one guide lists up to 1.5 MB for domicile).
The last date for CLAT 2027 is 31 October 2026, and the exam is on Sunday 6 December 2026, 2 pm to 4 pm, on paper. If you have not applied yet, you have only a few days. Guides disagree on the upload limits, so make a photo of about 200 x 230 px and 30–45 KB and a signature of about 140 x 60 px and 12–18 KB. Those sizes fit every reported limit.
CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is run by the Consortium of National Law Universities for five-year integrated LLB and LLM admission at the NLUs and many other law colleges. It is named after the admission year, which is why CLAT 2027 is held in December 2026.
What you need to upload
We could not check the official CLAT 2027 bulletin's upload limits, and third-party guides do not agree. The table shows the range reported and a safe target.

The form itself shows the limit next to each upload field. If it differs from the safe target, follow the form.
How to prepare each file
Photo. Take a passport-style photo on a white background and size it with the exam photo resizer. Then use compress image to 50 KB to land in the 30–45 KB band.
Signature. Sign on plain white paper in black ink. Crop tightly to the signature and reduce it with compress image to 20 KB. Check it still reads clearly.
Certificates. Phone photos of certificates can be joined into one PDF with JPG to PDF. If the result is large, compress PDF to 1 MB keeps it readable and within the reported domicile limit.
Before you submit
- Choose your NLU preferences carefully. They are used in counselling after the result.
- Pick your test centre preferences.
- Check your Class 12 status. Students appearing in Class 12 in 2027 can usually apply, but check the eligibility rule.
- Pay the fee in the same session. It was reported as ₹4,000 for General/OBC and ₹3,500 for SC/ST and some other categories.
Timeline notes

- Result and counselling: expected in December 2026 and early 2027.
If you are applying on the last day
Prepare all files before you log in. Check each file size in your file manager, keep your certificate PDFs in one folder, and finish payment in the same session. Download the confirmation page as soon as it appears.
Common reasons uploads get rejected
- A selfie or a photo with a cap, sunglasses or a coloured background.
- A signature in capital letters, or a blurry photo of a signature.
- A certificate PDF that is unreadable after compression.
- Submitting at the last minute and missing the payment step.
