For IBPS PO 2027 you will upload four files: a photo (200 x 230 px, 20–50 KB), a signature (140 x 60 px, 10–20 KB), a left thumb impression (240 x 240 px, 20–50 KB) and a handwritten declaration (800 x 400 px, 50–100 KB). You will also take a live photo in the form. The form is expected in July 2027, since the 2026 form ran from 1 to 21 July.

IBPS PO is the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection exam for Probationary Officer and Management Trainee posts in public sector banks such as Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, PNB and Union Bank. It has prelims, mains and an interview.

What you need to upload

The IBPS format has been stable for several years. The sizes below are from recent IBPS-style notices, but check the 2027 notice for changes.

All files are JPG/JPEG. Education, category and other certificates are mainly checked at the interview stage.

How to prepare each file

Photo. Take a passport-style photo on a light background, then size it to 200 x 230 pixels with the IBPS photo resizer.

Signature. Sign in black ink on white paper, crop tightly and fit it with the IBPS signature resizer. The signature you upload must match how you sign on exam day.

Left thumb impression. Press your left thumb on an ink pad, then on white paper, without smudging. Photograph it in good light and use the IBPS thumb impression resizer. If it is over 50 KB, compress image to 50 KB helps.

Handwritten declaration. Copy the declaration text from the notice onto white paper in black ink, in running handwriting. Photograph it straight on, crop to the text and resize to about 800 x 400 pixels. Then bring it into the 50–100 KB band with compress image to 100 KB.

Timeline notes

Calendar: IBPS publishes a yearly calendar with prelims and mains dates. Expect the 2027-28 one in early 2027.
Form: expected July 2027 (1–21 July in 2026).
Prelims: expected August 2027 (22–23 August in 2026).
Mains: expected October 2027 (listed for 4 October in 2026).

Applying from a phone

Make all four images in one sitting in daylight, with the photo taken on the rear camera against a light wall and each paper sheet photographed flat. Name the files clearly before uploading.

Common reasons uploads get rejected

A declaration typed, written in capitals, or in someone else's handwriting.
A smudged or very faint thumb impression.
The photo, signature or thumb uploaded in the wrong slot.
A signature in capital letters.
Files outside the KB band. IBPS sets minimums as well as maximums, so an over-compressed 8 KB signature is also rejected.

Keep the original photos and scans. IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB and SBI exams use nearly the same set, so you can reuse them across forms that year.

What is the photo size for IBPS PO?

IBPS has asked for a JPG photo of 200 x 230 pixels (preferred), between 20 KB and 50 KB, on a light background. A live photo is also taken during the application.

What should the IBPS handwritten declaration say?

The exact text is printed in the IBPS notice. It is a short statement that the details you gave are correct and that the photo, signature and thumb impression are yours. Write it in English, in your own handwriting, in black ink and not in capital letters.
