Signature

For IBPS Clerk 2027 you need four files: a photo (200 x 230 px, 20–50 KB), a signature (140 x 60 px, 10–20 KB), a left thumb impression (240 x 240 px, 20–50 KB) and a handwritten declaration (800 x 400 px, 50–100 KB). A live photo is taken in the form too. The form is expected in August 2027, based on the 1–21 August 2026 window.

IBPS Clerk recruits Customer Service Associates (clerks) for public sector banks. Each cycle has a prelims and a mains exam, with no interview, and posts are allotted state-wise. A local language test is part of the process.

What you need to upload

The specs below are the standard IBPS format used in recent notices. Always check the 2027 notice for changes.

File Dimensions (preferred) Size Notes
Photograph 200 x 230 px 20–50 KB Recent colour photo, light background
Signature 140 x 60 px 10–20 KB Black ink on white paper, not in capitals
Left thumb impression 240 x 240 px, 200 DPI 20–50 KB Clear ink impression on white paper
Handwritten declaration 800 x 400 px, 200 DPI 50–100 KB Text from the notice, in English, black ink
Live photo Captured in the form — Webcam or phone

All uploads are JPG/JPEG.

How to prepare each file

Photo. Use a recent passport-style photo on a light background and size it with the IBPS photo resizer.

Signature. Sign on white paper with a black pen in your normal style, then fit it with the IBPS signature resizer. Sign the same way at the exam.

Thumb impression. Press your left thumb on an ink pad and then on white paper, once, without rolling. Photograph it and use the IBPS thumb impression resizer.

Declaration. Copy the exact declaration text from the notice in your own handwriting, in English, in black ink. Photograph it flat, crop to the writing and resize to about 800 x 400 pixels. Compress image to 100 KB gets it into the 50–100 KB band without making it unreadable.

Timeline notes

  • IBPS Clerk 2026 (for reference): short notice 27 July 2026; form 1–21 August 2026; prelims 10–11 October 2026; mains 27 December 2026.
  • IBPS Clerk 2027 form: expected August 2027.
  • Prelims: expected October 2027.
  • Mains: expected December 2027.

IBPS publishes a yearly calendar that lists the prelims and mains dates months ahead. Check ibps.in for it, since the notice there is final.

Applying from a phone

The four IBPS images are easy to make with a phone if you do them in one sitting:

  1. Ask someone to take your photo with the rear camera against a light wall.
  2. Sign on white paper, make the thumb impression on a separate sheet, and write the declaration on a third sheet.
  3. Photograph each sheet flat in daylight, with no shadow from your hand or phone.
  4. Resize each one with the matching tool and name the files clearly.

Common reasons uploads get rejected

  • A typed declaration, or one written in capital letters.
  • A thumb impression that is smudged, too light or from the wrong hand.
  • Files below the minimum KB, which happens when you compress too hard.
  • The signature in capital letters.
  • Choosing a state without being able to read and write its official language. That is not an upload error, but it can cost you the job at the language test.

Keep your IBPS files in one folder. The same four images, with minor changes, work for IBPS PO, IBPS RRB and SBI forms in the same year.

Questions

When will the IBPS Clerk 2027 form come out?

It is expected in August 2027, because the 2026 form ran from 1 to 21 August 2026. IBPS has not announced the 2027 dates.

Is IBPS Clerk 2026 the same as IBPS Clerk 2027?

No. The 2026 cycle (CRP CSA-XVI) was for vacancies of 2027-28 and its form closed on 21 August 2026. The next form, expected in August 2027, is the one covered here.

What is the IBPS Clerk photo size?

IBPS has used 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) and 20–50 KB in JPG for the photo, plus a live photo captured during the form.

Is IBPS Clerk the same as IBPS RRB Clerk?

No. IBPS RRB Clerk (Office Assistant) recruits for regional rural banks and has its own form and dates. In 2026 its prelims were in December. The upload specs are similar.
