CUET UG 2028 has not been announced. If the recent pattern holds, the form is expected in January 2028 and the exam in May 2028. NTA's recent rules have asked for a photo of 10–200 KB and a signature of about 4–30 KB, both JPG, plus PDFs of any category or PwD certificate.
CUET UG is NTA's common entrance test for undergraduate admission at central universities such as Delhi University, BHU and JNU, and many state and private universities. This page is for students currently in Class 11.

A signature between 15 and 25 KB fits both reported ranges.
The real early decision: subjects
CUET is taken subject by subject, and each university and course lists which CUET subjects it accepts. A student who wants B.Com at one university may need different test papers from another. Check the 2027 requirements of the universities you are aiming for, since the 2028 list will likely be similar. Pick Class 12 subjects with those in mind.
Paperwork to start in late 2027
- Category certificates. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates usually need to be issued within a set period. Apply close to the form date so the certificate is valid.
- Name and date of birth. Make sure they match on your Class 10 certificate and Aadhaar.
- Email and mobile. Use ones you will keep for the whole admission season.
Preparing the files when the form opens
- Take a fresh photo on a white background and size it with the exam photo resizer.
- If it is large, use compress image to 50 KB, which stays far inside the 200 KB limit.
- Sign in black pen on white paper, crop it and use compress image to 20 KB.
- Scan any certificates and reduce them with compress PDF to 300 KB, keeping them readable.

Applying from a phone
Many students fill the CUET form on a phone. It works well if your files are ready before you log in.
- Ask someone to take your photo with the rear camera, against a white wall in daylight.
- Photograph your signature flat on a table and crop away the edges.
- Name the final files clearly, such as photo.jpg and signature.jpg.
- Check each file's size in your file manager before uploading.
- Keep certificate PDFs in a single folder.
After submitting, download the confirmation page and keep the application number, password and payment receipt together. You will need them for the city slip, admit card, answer key objections and university admission portals, which often ask for your CUET application number.
Common mistakes
- Choosing test papers that your target course does not accept.
- A selfie or a photo with a coloured background.
- A signature below the minimum size, which comes out blurry.
- Category certificates issued outside the allowed period.
- Waiting for an extension instead of applying early.
