Other documents: Signature limit conflicts between sources (4–30 KB vs 10–50 KB); a 10–30 KB file satisfies both. Category, PwD and other certificates as PDF; check the bulletin for size.

Signature

For CUET UG 2027 you will need a recent passport size photo (10–200 KB in 2026), your signature (most sources say 4–30 KB), and PDFs of any category or PwD certificate. The form is expected in January 2027, since the 2026 form opened on 3 January 2026. The exam is expected in May 2027.

CUET UG is the Common University Entrance Test run by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Central universities such as Delhi University, BHU and JNU, and many state and private universities, use it for undergraduate admission.

What you need to upload

The table uses what was reported for the 2026 form. NTA has used similar rules across its exams, but always check the CUET UG 2027 information bulletin.

File Format Size Notes
Photograph JPG/JPEG 10–200 KB Recent, clear, white background, face clearly visible
Signature JPG/JPEG 4–30 KB (some sources: 10–50 KB) Black pen on white paper
Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) PDF As per bulletin Only if claimed
PwD certificate PDF As per bulletin Only if claimed

The signature range is the one place sources disagree. If you keep your signature file between about 15 and 25 KB, it fits both reported ranges.

How to prepare each file

Photo. Take a fresh photo against a white wall, face the camera, and avoid caps and sunglasses. Use the exam photo resizer to set a passport shape. If it comes out larger than needed, compress image to 50 KB gives a file far below the 200 KB limit that still looks sharp.

Signature. Sign with a black pen on white paper, photograph it in daylight and crop out the blank paper. Shrink it with compress image to 20 KB so it lands safely inside both reported ranges.

Certificates. Photos of certificates can be joined into one PDF with JPG to PDF. Then bring the size down with compress PDF to 300 KB, and check that the certificate number and dates are still readable.

Other things to keep ready

  • Class 10 details (roll number, board, year) and Class 12 details.
  • A working email and mobile number that you will keep for months, because NTA sends updates there.
  • A list of universities and the subject combinations they ask for. You choose test papers in the form, and some universities need specific subjects.
  • A payment method for the fee, which depends on how many subjects you pick.

Timeline notes

  • Form opens: expected January 2027. In 2026 it opened on 3 January.
  • Last date: expected late January or February 2027. In 2026 most sources gave 30 January; one reported a later deadline and a re-opened window in February.
  • Correction window: expected early February 2027 (2–4 February in 2026).
  • Exam: expected May 2027 (11–31 May in 2026).

CUET UG 2027 did not appear in NTA's tentative calendar released on 16 September 2026, which covered December 2026 to March 2027. Watch cuet.nta.nic.in from late December.

Common reasons uploads get rejected

  • A selfie, a cropped group photo or a coloured background.
  • A signature under 4 KB that looks blurry, or one written in capital letters.
  • Files a few KB over the limit.
  • Category certificates in the wrong format or issued outside the date range the bulletin asks for.
  • Name or date of birth not matching the Class 10 certificate.

Choose your subjects carefully. In past cycles the correction window let you change some details, but it is short and not everything can be edited.

Questions

What is the photo size for CUET UG 2027?

The 2026 form asked for a recent passport size photo with a white background, JPG, between 10 KB and 200 KB. Expect the same in 2027, but confirm in the 2027 bulletin.

What is the CUET signature size?

Sources for 2026 disagree: most give 4–30 KB, one gives 10–50 KB. A JPG of about 15–25 KB fits both, but follow the limit printed in the 2027 bulletin.

When will the CUET UG 2027 form be released?

It is expected in January 2027, as the 2026 form opened on 3 January 2026. NTA has not announced the 2027 date yet.

Can I apply for CUET before my Class 12 result?

Yes. In past cycles students appearing in Class 12 that year could apply. Check the eligibility section of the 2027 bulletin and each university's own rules.
